strangely I have most of the parts you need sat in my garage doing the square root of nothing but by listing items like

a manual ecu with two working keys & chips intact

why will any one sell you an ecu & keys that are not remotely linked?

fair enough you may have another project down the road but it already appears you have 3 sets of the above that don't work with your car as it is....

fault diagnosis is always better than fitting & guessing....

have you not figures out yet that if people are sending you working parts & they are not working then maybe you are doing something wrong?

an old saying springs to mind.... a fool & his money
You are free to troll as much as you

Parts now no longer needed.

Got replacement parts from a locally sourced 1997 V70 T5 being parted out with a working alarm system and two alarm fobs.

Scanned for errors and all clear so good result on that front.

As part of future P.M I did the battery mod on the alarm module and wired a replacement battery pack into the Ecu box and brought the wires through to the motherboard of the siren module.

I am under the impression you and Darth are not exactly hitting it off, I particularly like the " fault diagnosis is better .... " line really made me laugh !

If you did not know not only did I rescue my baby from the grave but she now has an mot so she will spend most of Christmas on axle stands in barrow, service, cam belt, discs etc etc.

Would you please help me in this regard : bizarrely it would seem Bernie at lakes tried to replace the door lock which was smashed to effect entry and the console wing mirror adjuster stopped working. What would be your advice for diagnosing this one rather than guessing - I do not have VOL FCR yet cos need a new laptop and waiting for silly season, would the software assist or not - I guess the latter !!??

In all seriousness if you do have a laptop I might be interested - I know Vol- FCR is only guaranteed to work with one of the old OS - I can't recall off the top of my head which one it is but I know if is not Windows 8 or indeed 10 !

I was fairly confident VOL - FCR would not assist re the wing mirror but there you go.

If you are passing through Barrow after Christmas you are more than welcome to give an idiot who does not know what he is doing a hand !! Priority cambelt and coolant. Can at leat guarantee you plenty of Nethergate Old Santa or Augustinian and a lift home if needed !!!! Hillcrest Little Mill Lane IP29 5 BU is where it us all happening should I invite Darth ????

Are you a fisherman as well by any chance ? - recently bought my boy and myself a half year sub to River Lark Angling Assoc and hope to get some pike fishing in over Christmas. If you know where is the place to fish around Barton Mills / Mildenhall please let me know.

All the best

Paul

Win xp is the OS it definitely works with, which I have a copy of but last time I tried to set a laptop up with xp it was quite problematic due to microsofts lack of support for xp these days....

I have a dell I picked up the other day that shipped with vista so it may be just the ticket as dell are usually ok with drivers so I will have a play sometime & see what I can do!

Fishing is not my strong point!!
