You try to loose a pint of blood from your own body and walk straight..

I'd be more concerned with why was oil level low.
Was it you, when you were last filling, or is there a possible leak?

Check coolant tank for oil contamination.

Whilst, I believe, rare- oil/water heat exchanger can give way.
Amongst other things, of course.

It may be as simple as crush washer on sump bolt.

I am also on the forum for stuff like:

1. Sealed for life? Really? (and the volvo service...Yes Sir that`s correct) hmm
2. What oil for AISIN A/T
3. How to change...etc etc

So pls oppinion on Gear oil: LIQUI MOLY RECOMMENDS THIS PRODUCT FOR VEHICLES THAT NEEDS TO COMPLY THE FOLLOWING SPECIFICATIONS:
Aisin Warner AW-1

https://products.liqui-moly.com/top-tec-atf-1800-1.html

And is it smart to use oil flush or no?

tnx

Rule of thumb:

Manufacturer will always recommend its own product. Imagine , for example, Shell recommending Castrol for one or the other engine.. Not happening!

On the other hand..

If it wasn't a bit... illegal... (think trading standards), manufacturers of sunflower oil would recommend this oil for any engine.

If you remember this, your searches will held better results as you won't be wasting time on sillies..

Now in relation to your points..

No1: volvo never actually said that. They never said "sealed for life" that is.
"Should not be in need of changing during life of car".
What do you think " life of a car" is from point of view of manufacturer?
For me it looks like guarantee period...

No2 depending on which gearbox and which year of production of your car

No3

Read the whole thread.. Please

And please oh please don't call it Thomas' School.
I'm not the only one who contributed.

As Mary Poppins would say," Let's start at the beginning that's a very good place to start."

Sit up strait at the back and pay attention!
