Default Vibration behind facia

I have recently bought a 2007 V50 which has just developed an annoying, intermittent vibration noise somewhere behind the facia.
No problem on smooth road surface & motorways but squeeks like mad elsewhere.
The noise appears to be coming from behind the central air vents.
The instuctions for the removal of the air vents in the workshop manual only relate to the earlier models.

Can anyone advise me how to remove the vents without taking out the whole facia?

My 2004 S40 has had an annoying vibration from somewhere behind the dash for a while now. It's fine on smooth roads but anything else and it buzzes. The problem has got worse recently and is more noticeable when the car is warm. Today I got my missus to sit in the passenger seat and listen out for the noise and she traced it to the facia surrounding the entertainment system display and CD slot. A quick play with it and I discovered one of the top retaining tabs has broken off at some time. I've stuffed a bit of blutack behind the corner where the retaining tab is missing and hopefully that's solved the vibration/rattle. It certainly seems better already. Maybe you have a similar problem....maybe not.

My 04 S40 has a rattle in the same place; I have no idea what causes it but it's bloody annoying haha, one day I will get around to fixing it lol

My joy was short lived. Back to the incredibly annoying rattle. The problem is obviously deeper in the dash. When I have some spare time I'll remove the facia and have a rummage. Probably just make it worse knowing my luck. Still, the squeaking plastic trim on the driver's door pillar does deflect my attention from the dashboard at times. Grrrrr.

Any resolution to your dash buzz/rattle?

Seem that all P1's suffer from random rattles issue :/
On mine i discovered so far:
- unknown crackle around waterfall/12v socket (still not solved)
- crackle around armrest (issue found - bloody handbrake button, the one u press to release handbrake - it just vibrates in the socket like it was too small/loose)
- terrible creaking under seats (solved, "seat noise fix")

Seem that the plastic the interior is made of is a bit off with quality on some parts of dash...
