Default Put led in dim cluster

Hello !

I have a 2001 Volvo s40 and i want to put led bulb in my dim cluster (dials)

It easy to unmount ? sorry for my bad english.

LED T4 OR T5 ?

i don't want to remove the steering wheel.

They are T5 IIRC.

The main cluster is a T5, as are the info centre LCD panels, I bought those t5 units that pre made with the correct bases (search r509t) as they are quite short, then I bought the flat 2 sided T5 LEDs that fit into the original bulb holders for the illumination of the main cluster, all in all it works quite well, plus depsite reading various places that the dimming won't work with them it actually does, which is a bonus.

Thanks mates !

I fitted T4 white led bulbs in my light switch and the heater panel(original holders).


Look better than the very old bulbs ! (sorry crap picture)

my dim is green with the old bulbs actually i want them whites

https://www.ebay.fr/itm/332801931015 i bought ten white t5 hope they will be good !

I need only a screwdriver to take off the cluster ?

New white leds ! They looks pure white in the picture but look blue in reality ! Dont know why !

Problem fixed !! The bulb was not enough plugged in the holder ! Im so happy !
