Regarding the auxiliary belt, Volvo Aberdeen told me yesterday that Volvo have stopped supplying the "Auxiliary belt" for the 2002 V40 TDi D4192T3. If that's the case, what do we use?? They are still doing the timing belt kit, "Belt and tensioner" for £158.00.

Thanks

Malky

Try SKF site, that's the brand I use for timing, auxiliary belts and tensioner, they provide complete kits including water pump

I would just use a branded belt from a motor factors.

There is a contitech (Continental, as in tyres) belt available from eurocarparts and they also do a SKF kit that has a belt and pulleys. They also do an INA timing belt kit for £117.99 minus the discount of the day brings it to £76.69. That could well be identical to the volvo kit given that INA make the pulleys for most manufacturers.

I would be more than happy to use a continental belt (OEM for major brands).

I worked as a Tech at Volvo for 10 years.Ive done hundreds of cambelts on these.Whatever you do, change the water pump. Its false economy not to.Any reputable garage won't guarantee the job unless the pump is changed.
Every cambelt I replaced I without fail changed the pump.
There may not be play in the bearing when you check it, but when you put the new belt on and tension it to the correct hz, it'll put extra load on the old pump. When they fail they do catastrophic damage.
If you value your car, change it.
