s40 engine ????????

[FONT="Comic Sans MS"][SIZE="4"]Our 1998 s40 has given abit of trouble of late with a slight miss when hat and taking off. I took it to get it fixed and all that could eb found was a cracked vacuum line. It was replaced and since than it has been Ok. What we did find that there was some oil contamination inside tha pipe that cracked, The car ahs jsut done 100,000 km and does not sue any oil. I was advsied that I should be using a synenthetic oil as the motor wsa designd for that. Has amyone else had similar a similar problem and wht type of oil were you using?
I now use Mobil 10w40

it sounds like you are either using it for short runs and its not getting hot enough or it may have a bl;ocked sludge trap ,depending on the year it is
