Do you have a spacesaver spare wheel?

If so, it might not be fully secured.
Worth a check IMO.

I had an irritating knocking noise that seemed to come from the rear of my car but after a good deal of searching I found it was a badly fitted air filter box and that is right at the front of the car, maybe you need to look at other areas of your car.

Can you get a passenger involved to locate the noise while on the move to pinpoint the exact location ?

Yea I have resorted to roping on my step brother to sit in the rear at the weekend to try and sort it... Its definitely a hollow type sound so it must be around the parcel shelf type area.. Maybe rooflining?

Not listened to the video but I also have a really annoying knocking noise from the back of my V60.

Took everything out that could come out and then a friend of mine drove it whilst I was in the boot listening.

Come to the conclusion that it’s definitely from the rear and probably top mounts.

Had two massive bushes and links replaced already which didn’t do anything. It’s got progressively worse so it’s definately bushes deteriorating.

It’ll get done at its next service in October, unless it drives me round the bend before then..!

Well my mechanic had a look and everything is fine with the suspension. He thinks I might have been unlucky and just got a bad shock absorber (even though they are new) otherwise I'm at a loss... He checked top mounts, links, bushes everything.. I'm still convinced its inside either boot area or parcel shelf area...

Car is going back to where shocks were done at the weekend so they can check the shocks over.
