Default alarm/central locking

1998 v40 2.0se ( white )

today as i was about to take the missus to the dentist, i pressed the key fob and nothing happened so like an idiot i unlocked the door, panic then set in about disturbing the peace so i shut the door and locked it with the key and finally the alarm stopped.going on-line quickly i looked through the forum and found out how to disable the alarm.
im just wondering if anyone would know how i could just re-activate the central locking without the alarm.
unfortunatley the wife is still suffering as the dentist was re-scheduled for friday

Default alarm

if your not going to use the alarm ,take out the battery and tray and under it is the alarm siren, just unplug it,make sure you have the radio code first

many thanks for your concern but i fitted another keyless entry box and just use the key to lock the car now.
Its just nice to have the central locking and interior lights working again.
