Unhappy Where is the best place to sell my car?

I have a 1972 P1800es that I THINK I am going to sell her.

I have spent a fortune on her, and as I have moved house and no longer have a garage. Just a teaser but a couple of pictures attached, but does somebody have any ideas on £value? where to advertise?

If anyone is interested please let me know!!

She has been used nearly every day for 4 years until she went into storage in October - £000's spent - a file of works 4" thick etc etc

Hi Ya

now this is a bit of a tough one honestly i would keep her as you have modified the car and can i say Love the seats a real smart touch also the rear fuel filler + alloy wheels *** quick question what are those wheels off ?? they sit nice on the car ***

sadly the rest of the car like frenched headlamps and de-bumpering some custom door panels i think from the images ( at this stage is all i can see but im sure you have done other mods to her ) some people worry about wabasto sun roofs.
but these cars perform best on the subject of price ! with the car being original so and this is what i have seen form the market place over the years not my personal view as i really like your car ! i see the cars value mid range at point of sale

hence why i said i would keep her shes how you want her and the money you have spent over the years get some fun and enjoy the car see if anyone local has a garage slot they will rent you if its just down to dry storage maybe someone from the forum can help out stranger things have happened on here its a source of help in all things classic volvo

but if you really want to sell the car i would post a for sale thread on the forum here and maybe fleabay on a classified ad

kind regards
and good luck with the car shes a nice clean stylish example

robert

Carandclassic.co.uk is an excellent place to sell, free and lots of traffic.

Good luck.

Gorgeous looking car, i'd have no idea on the value though.
The wheels really suit it, are they real or replica Cobra wheels, either way as i say it looks amazing.

I don't know is the answer to your question!!

I have seen cars modified in the states go for $50k plus, a guy in Holland got 20k euros both for the saloons but nothing based on the ES. There are a few jobs that could do with being done, a bit with the trim and a bit of paint - retail max £1k to make it perfect.

These cars have a subjective value and and as I sure you know is only worth what people are prepared to pay. She has cost me £30k+ and to be fair she isn't worth that....... on any day of the week!

If this is your sort of thing - I am not going to hold you to it, but realistically where are you at? 5k - 10k - 15k - 20k.................?

Thanks for the interest in my wonderful Battlebus!! Throw a figure in the pot and we can discuss from there!

Yes the are Cobra replica alloys - good spot!! Thanks for your comments, just need someone with some money!!!!!

I am feeling more resigned that she is on her way - but I need to be happy with someones offer...... and I think depending on who the person is to an extent too!!

It really comes down to condition, as you've modified the look of the car you're probably devalued it unless you've also got rid of any rust, overhauled the mechanicals and replaced the engine and gearbox to match the look, (or at least reconditioned them).

Depending on condition, what mods have been done it could be anything from £3k up to £15k. Just my opinion and like anything it's worth what someone will pay.

Has has all the rust removed when the bulk of the work was done....... the block has been overhauled completely renewed interior - trust me a fortune spent...... for £3k I would take it out of storage and leave it on the drive to rust again... £15k would be nice though..... I think I am prepared to let it go for closer to that figure!!
