Default stained headliner needs a clean

Hi All

Back for some more advice!

How do I clean a stained headliner? It is on the wooden frame, but not in the car, so it is easy to get at and I can be more free with obnoxious fume from nasty chemicals.

The headliner is a rather pale cream.

Cheers

Pete

I would first try normal upholstery cleaner - from a reputable brand.

If it is stained with nicotine then you may as well kiss it goodbye - still worth giving it a go regardless.

Seeing as it isn't fitted to the car you have the best chance of doing a good job. Work on small areas and make sure you don't get it too wet - don't scrub try to dab rather than wipe - and support the underside so you don't start to make wavy sags
