Default Help needed, spare 012 AMM to test

I'm currently trouble shooting my 940 Turbo, and the next thing to check is whether or not my 012 AMM is working correctly or not. I bought it from the USA as they're few and far between here, so I have no real knowledge of whether it was a working unit anyway.

Does anybody have a spare unit I could borrow to see whether it cures my idle problem? I'd be happy to cover postage costs or even pick it up and leave a deposit if you're not the other end of the country.

Thanks in advance,
Ben.

You have the quickest and best test bed already - your car! I'd simply swap it over, reset the fault codes and try it.

I only have the one that's currently fitted, and the original 016 won't fit as it's a different diameter

I've got one... I bought it from someone on here some time ago who assured me it worked, but I have no way of testing it. I want to keep it, but you're welcome to borrow it for testing purposes.

It's in Cambridge at my parents house, I'll next be there Saturday 22nd. If you want to come and pick it up, that's fine, otherwise I could post it to you I suppose.

Note - since 3inch MAFs are quite rare/expensive I have seen pictures online from people who wanted one making DIY versions by taking the centre of a 016 MAF and putting it in a bigger tube. I suppose there's no reason why you couldn't do the same using the electrics from a 016 MAF and the housing from the current 012 MAF if it does turn out to be broken...

Send me a pm if you want to borrow it.

Cheers.

Brilliant thank you, I'll see if I can make a reducer for my 016 first but if not I'll take you up on that offer.
Ben.

No problem.

You’ll might need to buy things like this to use the 016 since it’ll need to be fully airtight of course.

Default working

You can come up to Swineshead (PE203LW) . I have a known working 012, plus code reader. I can provide tea. What injector size are you running?

I don't really have a way of getting it there. 630, the 60lb DEKA ones.
