Default Drivers seat is making noises

Hi, i have got rather strange problem and most people might say its is because my weight (17st pure muscle) lol, but my drivers seat is making squeaky, crackly noises when taking sharper corners or roundabouts. I have checked it and its not loose or anything, but its getting bit annoying. Sounds like the noise comes from back rest part. Has any one else such problem and suggestions how to cure it. Or shall i buy a ticket to the Volvo garage, bearing in mind that i have this car for 2 months? Thanks

A feature of volvos from what I've seen!

I think the official line is to take the seat and and regrease the rails, but that will only cure it short term and it will come back, easier to ignore

Mine is doing the same I often thought it was loose but always seems solid on the floor? What kind or grease do you suggest?

your dealer will know about this and have the special long lasting PTFE lubricant and sort it for you . you can use WD40 on the SIP tube joints each side of the back of the base of the seat but it wont last long .

I had this done on my driver's seat at a dealer 2 years ago. Hasn't came back so far. I'm sure it will, but I'll just get it renewed when I need to. Don't know if it's true but they told me it was related to WHIPS system.

Do you get a warning light on to accompany the ding noise? Or does the information centre have a message on it?

I believe this may be what you're experiencing. If so, it's normal. Happens the first time you pass 12mph i believe:
