Default cd problems

The 6 cd changer went on my 06 plate S40. was quoted £900 approx from my local dealership. a Local car audio centre wanted to charge me £350+ vat to send it to a guy in Ipswich to repair. Took the changer out myself sent to Marcel at Central Service in Ipswich yesterday 31st May. Got phone call today at about 16:15 hrs saying repair done and cost was £200. Hows that for service!

Thank you VOC for having Marcels information on the site. saved me a lot of heart ache and pain(in the wallet!!).
Also spoke with a car breaker in Nottingham who told me that if I was prepared to drive to Doncaster he could have supplied a radio for £150 and the garage in Doncaster would re programme the ECU for £30. I don't the name but it may help others in the area. The breakers were Salvo.
