Thanks for the offer but I'll just get the AFM as when the engine's running and you take each spark plug off seperately it affects how it runs so I'm thinking partially blocked injector giving it a rubbish spray pattern.

Ok so I took a look at the injectors.
When taking them off I forgot to clamp the fuel line and accidently knocked an injector out so petrol leaked everywhere now I'm thinking I've broken me injector not relising I've just unclipped it, so there I am running into the garage to get a clamp shouting many swear words along my run. Clamp it, check out the injector and it's not broken just caked in grime Put some card under them to check the spray pattern (helps if it's earthed so had to run a lead from the battery to the whatever it is that earths the injection system) and so was the place it's seated (not sure what it's called) had a look at them all and they were all clogged with grime so I cleaned them all up. got it spraying and it's pattern is perfect. Put it all back together started it up, it coughed into life so I gave it a rev and it's idol rose from 500 to 900 and now there's no more knocking and it runs fine.
I ACTUALLY MANAGED TO FIX MY CAR!!!
