V40 aftermarket sat nav?
I have recently bought a Volvo V40, 64 plate (2015) it doesn’t come with sat nav or the ‘nav’ button but the button can be pressed. Does anybody know if i can somehow buy and install sat nav onto the car and also possibly a reversing camera or sensors? Or would it be best to contact the dealer. Thank you

Volvo satnav is horrid. I have it in my 2013 car and never, ever use it.
Instead I use Waze on my phone and bought a phone mount that fits in the CD slot. Waze is much better than any stand alone satnav. I don’t even use my fairly decent Garmin satnav any more! |

I think the main dealer route would be cost prohibitive, the parts without any main dealer labour would be a good percentage of the vehicle purchase price.
Independent vehicle electricians do offer quite 'original looking' alternatives for parking sensors, and the sat nav, well would a portable tom tom type not suffice. I have the nav but it's not 'live' for traffic as my google app is. |
