My new 360GLT

Thought you might like to see my new purchase !!

It's one of the last ones made on a 'G'& has the elusive body kit fitted too !! It's only done 88k & has had a lot of money spent on it over the last year in parts.

Jobs to do though are ;

new input shaft seal on gearbox
drive shaft seal
new clutch (seeing as the torue tube, exhaust etc has to be dropped for the other jobs)
some respray work on front left wing, left back door & right arch + the laquer has come off on the s/r ?

Still looking for a late 300 radio cassette (VC708) & oil temp/pressure gauges !

Congrats on your new toy!!
Would gauges out of a 240 be any good to you?
I have a set out of a 85 240 which i am thinking about selling as this is a spare set,i already have some in my 242..
I may be able to get you a radio/cassette too as a friend of mine has a few 300's,could you let me know what model it is and ill check if he has one lying around.

Yes they would apparently do !! Drop me a line on email - you have my address. I have found out that the model is VC708 for radio cass.

Did you here about that car from George Mitchell? He runs a 3 series club which is quite good.

John you are so unfair :-p I'm looking for that kit too...got half of one...

Yeah, an 52mm gauges can be fitted to that extra panel...I've just fitted the oil pres/temp ones to my car....try to get the pressure sender and tapping with it, as I've just had a right job getting hold of one...and its set me back £45!

Ben - do you have any more - I know of someone else who is looking for a set.

Do you have any details for George or the club? I'm quite interested...

I have the three,
oil pressure,oil temp and battery voltage,
In my 242 i have 4,the above plus ext temperature,
Mine are for sale,first come first served,see parts for sale section,

Sorry James - I couldn't believe it when it came up & not far from where I live either !!I have a spare body kit, but Alex in Shrewsbury is buying it off me (I think you know him ?)I will keep a look out for another one - you never know when they crop up !

George is always on the look out for new members - It's called Friends of the Volvo 300. His number is 01786 824740.

I should be at the National & our own BKV in Malton, so see you there with it ..........

Thanks for the info John. Yeah, I know Alex....I've got some parts for him before (leather interior, etc). He's totally stoked about that kit - any chance you could get it to him by next weekend, as we're having a turbobricks meet, and he'd love to show off :)

James - Love the wheels (& the pics). They're off a 440 I take it ? Were they a straight fit ? I shall be getting a quote for postage today for the kit - don't know whether I can get it sorted this week, as v.busy at work (yearend !!)
