Volvo don't appear to be sherking responsibility quite the contrary there was no question of them not sorting the problem on our 2010 Xc60
I accept there perhaps should have been a recall but there hasn't so politely inform Volvo uk that you have an issue it compromises the safety of the vehicle and offer them the opotunity to contact you to resolve the matter.

Hey bullstiff, I'm having this issue on a V60 and was wondering how you got in touch with Volvo UK? I had a quick look around their site but couldn't spot a direct email address, just a contact form.

Was hoping to get a similar result, as if the screen does break on removal it's going to be painful on the wallet.

Angry Joined The Unhappy Club

Today I unfortunately joined the unhappy water ingress club, same issue water in the passenger foot well, luv the car but boy have I spent some cash on it, think I may have to get rid as it is becoming a money pit as my 1982 Land Rover discovery did.

Shame I got rid of my trusty Kia Sorrento which gave me very few issues.

For the record my Volvo is a D5 205bhp Auto 2010 Plate with 180,000 miles

Just spent on new alternator plus rear brake pads and discs last month so don't feel like spending another £150 this month.

Well I joined the club, but suspect the car was like this before I bought it!!

MY2010 Xc60 D3 drive 101k miles.

Volvo want £169 to take out and refit provided the glass dosent break...

Extended warranty that came with the car won't touch glass or body panels

Dealer that sold it to me says smash the screen and claim it under insurance as they cannot do it.

Not happy with this outcome as I have bought the car last week of October, noticed it within 3 weeks and only just insured it! So my insurance claim is going to look fraudulent!!

Default Windscreen leak

The windscreen of my 2010 (owned from new) XC60 leaked last year. My dealer said that Volvo would cover cost of removing and resealing but would not cover cost of the windscreen breaking in the process. True to form the company employed by my dealer broke the screen and I had to pay for the replacement.
I feel that this cost should have been covered by Volvo as the fault causing the need for the replacement was an acknowledged production fault.
Not very happy with Volvo over this.

My 2011 XC60's windscreen started leaking before Xmas. I booked it into Central London and they have been great, re-sealed it and no costs incurred!

Also reporting a case: 2011 XC60 D5. Bought by me in Nov 2015. Leaked the first time it rained (passenger side top)
Took it straight back and they took it out and re-bonded it under warranty

I had my 2009 (90k) repaired by FRF today, it was covered by Volvo as a warranty claim. I had prepared myself for an argument with Volvo but in fairness they agreed all costs within 24hours of assessment by FRF. The only disappointment was when I went to collect the car, I was made to feel like a common thief as the service manager who agreed the claim with Volvo wasn't at the dealership and the rest of the service department wouldn't believe me that it was being addressed under warranty. It was all sorted after they managed to get hold of the service manager to verify my claim. The service receptionist was apologetic but for me the damage was already done, I left feeling disappointed and angry at they way I was treated. Think I'll have to find someone else for my servicing, any suggestions in the Swansea area appreciated.

Smile F.O.C. reseal for XC60

Another XC60 leaking screen, water in passenger footwell, 09 plate and 58k miles. Contacted local volvo agent (Dinnages Worthing) they immediately suggested F.O.C. reseal provided screen was the original one.
Done today no problem.
