Default Curious central locking issue

Hi All,

My 850 developed a curious issue yesterday, I wonder if others have experienced similar and could offer advice?

My central locking that was working perfectly, now locks all four other doors when the tailgate is lifted? It seemed to occur after washing the car yesterday, though that may be a red herring and it not be water related. The tailgate locking actuator must be working ok as it locks/unlocks with the other doors.

I've not had chance to investigate, but wondering if it's common for the wiring to the tailgate to chaff at the hinges and cause a short somewhere (any idea which wire does what?) perhaps? I've had that with VWs and BMW estates previously but never with these symptoms.

Any advice appreciated to assist with troubleshooting, also around perhaps a more simple fix that I've confused the central locking somehow and can reset it before I break out the multi-meter and soldering iron?

Thanks
Stu
