Parts listed give option of tin or gold,

If replacing all then the gold are more durable,

They are abit awkward working in footwell and you need a something to remove terminals from connector, usually a modified paperclip

It would be easier to just cut connector out and join wires but if dash ever has to come out in future then it could get interesting

Maybe best to just ensure that area doesn't get too wet .

I wonder why we are not seeing more of these issues cropping up? I asked my mate, who works at a Volvo dealership, how often V40s come in with this issue and he said they have never seen one in the three years he has been working there.

ask your friend to speak to the MT at deallership and ask about your car loosing CAN HIGH SPEED and 20 terminals that need replacing both side footwell ,plug behind front bumper and plug above cem .they are very common

Will do, but why don't we hear of these problems more often on the forum? Is it only the ones where people repeatedly soak the footwell carpet? My mate is the deputy Service Manager, so would know what this is and hasn't seen any.
