Makes me think it's possibly a fueling issue rather than the flywheel or engine mount?

Got some decent injector cleaner and a new fuel filter as a starting point so I'll see how it goes.

New fuel filter and injector cleaner has made sod all difference.

I'll get someone to look at the engine mounts and if that doesn't cure it I'll be getting rid.

Love the car but maybe it's time for something newer?

I stand by my first comment, engine mount. The fact you say it vibrates so much it distorts the rear view mirror suggests that part of the engine /gearbox is contacting the sub frame or chassis somewhere.

Just to update......it was an engine mount!

I've sold the car now as it was time for something newer. I didn't fancy paying loads of road tax for an auto and was a bit put of the newer model v70 by claims of Fordness and various problems so I've defected to Honda.

So far so good....we'll see.

Thanks for the assistance I received when asking for help.

Happy that you've found a solution to your problem. It's also cool to keep buddies informed about your issue.

To one of these day guy.
