Default Mirror indicator replacement

Hi
my wife had her V40cc drivers mirror smacked by a passing tractor on the drive to work today, a close shave that fortunately resulted only in a broken indicator lens.
I have had a look and they seem to be available as a separate part but I guess that it will be tricky to actually do.
Can any one point me towards instructions for how to do this?
or am I better of biting the bullet and paying the dealers ...

The above instructions show how to remove and install the mirror cover. Once the mirror cover has been removed you should then be able to remove and replace the indicator lens.

I broke the indicator lens on my V40 when I caught the mirror on a pillar in a car park and the impact knocked the mirror cover loose so it was easy for me to remove the mirror cover and replace the indicator lens which just pulled out and then I had to pull the bulb out of the broken lens and insert into the new lens.

Hope this helps.
