Scheduled age for belt change 2.4D/175
My car is coming up to 8 years age and 54,000 miles and due annual service. According to the local Volvo service company I need to have the timing belt replaced.
According to Volvo Service Price Indicator the first belt change is due 108,000 miles/6years. The D5 engine schedule requires it to be changed at 108,000 miles/12 years. Bearing in mind the cost difference is rather a lot, do I have the timing belt replaced or not? |

Been there, done that. VOLVO dealer will push for cam belt change - which is unnecessary, obviously, when your vehicle age or mileage are taken into account.
Just tell them what Clan wrote. Or use this: https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/attac...9&d=1368625339 |
