Cheapest way to get a spare S60 key?
I lost my spare 2002 S60 key and remote fob, I have the other one of course. Tried Timpsons and they said only Volvo dealers due to the codes being cycled or something. I'm guessing well over £100 to replace. Are there any cheaper options out there? Ideally I want the remote too but would be willing to get just a key if that was fairly cheap but the remote much more expensive.
Thanks |

At that price for that service, you should bite their hand off so I'll believe that when I see it.

I’d just get a spare key blade that will open the doors and take the steering lock off, then if you ever do lose the original you could tow or recover the car to the dealers, a lot easier than if the car is locked and the steering lock is on and let the dealer order and program the new key.

I assume that the £90 key will NOT disable the alarm?

You’ll not have the full immobiliser, your insurance will be annoyed at you, you increase the risk of a theft, but that’s the cheapest way, if cheap is what you need. |
