With some year models it is possible to withdraw the blocked or damaged nozzle tube from the wiper spindle using long noses pliers and replace it with a new one......there are two types. One is a brass tube with plastic nozzle at the top, the other is a one piece plastic tube and nozzle - both are supplied with a silicone O ring which seals the spindle and I seem to remember a gasket in the pack in case you do have to remove the motor - I bought both types from FRF Volvo around 4 years ago.

new rear discs + pads (brembos to match the front) + handbrake shoes

replaced brake position sensor + reset fault (For good hopefully)

also reset gearbox fluid temp sensor now have replaced fluid 2 times. got my replacement washer delivered ready for the next fluid change as well

progressing nicely. except, went to bleed brakes and have now rounded off the nut on one of my nipples (as it were) so had to order a set of replacements. not a bad thing anyway I suppose they are all a bit grotty

Replaced the rear right brake caliper after it decided to seize. 20°C is roughly the temperature it should have been at, not 153°C like it was.

Just had a look at the picture you posted of all the parts you've replaced etc. I noticed "Lubeguard"... what's that for?

Well over last week, its had a new o/s track rod, the new to me peg reps are on and went for a a wheel alignment this morning, and it got cleaned of winter goop.

The steering is a lot nicer now its alignment is done and even on the 225/40 tyres it still rides well so they will get refurbed soon, and will get some non ditch finder tyres on it.

Also, since over the past year or so the backbox has spat our most of its fluff, but today was the first time I have been outside when the car was moved, and it does sound cool, so as the cool kids say back box delete is up next and maybe a remap

it's a Gearbox additive; https://www.amazon.co.uk/Lubegard-60.../dp/B0007ZAJRM

im trying to keep this 'box alive as long as possible! the gear changes are definitely better now but how much of that is the lubegard and how much is just the new fluid, is anyone's guess

also.. sorted out the drivers side window 'bounce' .. after various trial and errors, this time what got it working was:

1 - clean out tracks with some fabric cleaner and a rag on the end of a screwdriver. many times until not so black on cloth

2 - remove door card and pull off the two (inner / outer) horizontal rubber edge strips. soak in fabric cleaner and scrubbed the felt strips again until not black on cloth

3 - refitted and tested, worked ok ish but looking from top it looked like the window is pushing at the outer door skin. just a guess but i reckon someone's been 'bumming' the door shut or leaning on it, and pushed the outer skin in a bit. worked it outwards just a tad by hand

now no bounce at all. but it's still a big sluggish compared to P/side. i might get a new motor / regulator at some point but at least it's improved.

only downside is the boys used to find it hilarious. I used to have arguments with my door and tell it off. entertaining for the 5 year olds, annoying for daddy

The thermal imager always makes things look worse in fairness
