Thumbs up Brookhouse Volvo

Hi all,

Just a bit of praise yet again for Simon at Brookhouse Volvo, a top bloke!

I woke up the 1800ES from it's winter hibernation last weekend only to find that the handbrake warning light wasn't working. No big deal I agree, but it niggles me when things don't work after it was fine before putting her to bed.

Anyway, after removing the switch I decided it was knackered internally and was considering just wiring in a standard plunger type brake light switch to replace it. I had a quick look on the Brookhouse website and lo and behold, there it was, a brand new original replacement for £17 delivered!

Ordered online, payment made, delivered the next day, fitted that afternoon, all working properly..........thanks Simon!

Paul.

Hi Paul.
I agree , Simon does provide a good, efficient service. We are fortunate to have a dedicated supplier of Volvo parts , otherwise we may have to go outside of the U.K. .
This would incur high postage costs.
I also think that the postal service do a good job too, as in your case the switch came the next day, and generally when I've ordered parts they have arrived the next day too.

As a newbi to Volvo I am amazed at the accessibility of spare parts for cars that are up to around sixty years old. Great service indeed.

I agree with you all. I am in New York and order from them. I often receive their goods sooner than those from US distributors. When I need it fast I go to Brookhouse. That's probably because everything US flies into NY first. And the pound is going in the right direction for me too.

I have always found the small team at Brookhouse excellent and I enjoy calling in there when I am in Ipswich. Great guys.
