There was a time before oil companies produced winter diesel that one way to prevent the diesel from waxing was to add some petrol.
Then diesel became popular and manufacturers said that if you put the wrong fuel in you had to change the fuel tank, fuel lines, fuel pump and injectors at a cost to £000's. That's progress for you!!!! If you are a member of Greenflag they will sort it out for you as part of the deal.(I have no connection with Greenflag other than being a member)

As others have said 'it happens', don't worry about it.
8 litres diluted by the rest of the tank will be absolutely fine! Just top up every 100 miles or so for the next while (depending on how many miles you do, do it 4 or 5 times should suffice). |
