About a month ago in local Tesco's, within a week Isaw emergancy services trying to break into THREE cars that were plugged in to charge up, seems like the system locks and refuses to open, and they were all different makes as well !
It won't be the fault of EV owners who bought their electric vehicles in good faith, but it will come to pass.

It's one of many potential issues with EVs that just aren't being aired publicly.

This issue will also b*gger up used car dealers, who'll have to cough up for new batteries in order to make an eight year-old car saleable.

In short, either battery technology will need to change, or the whole financial model will need to change (perhaps swap your flat battery for a fully charged one at the "filling station"), or we'll all have to revert to using buses and trains.
