1'43.636 after about 50 laps, still some more time there I reckon, I like this track its one where on some corners its better to go deep to give a better line into the next,

1:43, nice, looks like Brewster is feeling at home on this one, 5 laps in I'm at 1:46.238, looks like this could be a very competetive one.

Ross

EDIT - 1:44.559 so far, Brewsters time is impressive.

1.43.6 is a very impressive time, 1.44.3xx for me at the moment.

So your thinking of getting an Impreza WRX now Ross??? what version of the Evo where you going to get?

I was up against an evo gsr on my 2nd run at avon park, obviously it whipped my ass! hehe it did it in 13.526@103.47mph

Maybe next week we should have the same track but use an Evo instead then compare the fastest lap times!

Yeah, I was going to get either an EVO 5 or 6 but there's some other stuff I want money for that doesn't involve cars shockingly enough lol. The Scooby is cheaper and the running costs/servicing not as sore as the EVO's either.

STi type R is booked at low 13's 1/4 mile, they arent your run of the mill UK scoobies, going to see one today that has exhaust etc already fitted and low miles, so should be around or just over 300bhp, will do me nicely for playing at Crail / knockhill etc and I'll just leave it as it is.

Currently 1:43.256 for this weeks competition, 1:42's, possibly even high 1:41 might be do-able if you got lucky/brave on the bends and got away with not hitting the walls while charging through lol.

I'd love an Evo 6 but as I do 30000 miles a year the 20mpg ish fuel consumption might hurt a bit! I heard the servicing costs are ridiculous too.
I dug out an old Autocar comparison test where they compared the Audi S4, Evo 6 GSR and Impreza P1 - was that Subaru's "official" uk version of the one your after? good luck with it anyway

1.43.256.... hmmmm.... I'm going to have a hard time matching that - and I just got a new game for my birthday (Black), so once i get into that...

Cheers, loved the car today, it was mint.

It has a private plate on it that the owner needs to have taken off and te car registered on it's old plate again by the dvla, once thats done, and providing the HPI check comes back ok, I'll get it in a week or so as long as theres no upsets.

Blue 3 door WRX STi Version 4 Type R
Gold multipsoke 17's
Morette Headlights
Hayward and Scott front pipe
Blitz Exhaust
35,000 miles on it.

So, fingers crossed no spanners in the works appear.

Not sure if it's the same as a P1, the P1 never had the Driver Controlable Centre Diff (adjusts the power bias from 35/65 to 50/50 from front/rear.) I think the version 5 had the same engine as the P1, and I'm pretty sure the Version 4 uses it as well though not 100%

Good luck with the lap times anyway provided you dont get hooked on your new game

Ross

Sounds good! Blue is definitely a good colour for impreza's too
I love looking for cars... spent 6 months looking for a decent T4 last year, there's not exactly many of them about with low miles nowadays.
I didnt realise they had different engines? I just assumed the japanese ones where in different states of tune or had bigger turbos or something...

Havent actually tried the new game yet, want to set the best lap I can on GT4 first in case I get hooked.

Time for another beer...

Nah the engines are different for the STi's, Type R's are the 3 door version, I think they do have bigger turbos, the internals are stronger (forged pistons as standard as far as I know) , higher rev limit etc.

That may not all be 100% correct, I'm still finding out about them etc but thats what I gather so far.
