Admittedly mine is only a 140 10V engine but for what it's worth the cat on mine came from a company under the name Cats 2U.co.uk.[I've found out that much in the paperwork that came with the car but no price]it's been on about 3yrs now-fitted a few months before I bought the car to get it through the M.o.T. and so far has given no problems.

Fwiw, on a BMW 328i, I got a replacement CAT system from BM Catalysts in Mansfield as I was trying to diagnose a performance issues and suspected a clogged CAT. The BM Catalysts CAT immediately rattled like had small bits of metal in it and their customer service was terrible to the point I gave up and put the original back on.

As a result, I'd say either go for a reputable sports option or consider something like a new direct replacement. PartsForVolvo do both, a aftermarket option from around £175 and a range of Jetex Sports Cats.
