Default Volvo 850 2.5lt Auto for sale

We are reluctantly selling one of our 850s. We have owned it for four years & have now brought another vehicle & didn’t wasn’t to put in to the scrapage scheme for crushing; it is too good for that.

It is 2.5cc petrol with working certified LPG conversion. Mileage is under 164K. Automatic. With sport mode. Working odometer so it is genuine mileage, the cog repair was done as soon as it failed.

It has new one year MOT (16th October 2019 expiry). Advisories are four tyres and a minor oil leak. It pulls, rides & drives very nicely.

Exterior has marks. Some trim damage. Panels are in true. Tow bar. All door s windows function -open close & tail gate rams hold it open. N/s front indicator has had someone over extend spring & it requires attention, it was ok for MOT though. Regularly serviced & maintained by Dane Valley Volvo of Broadstairs.

The interior is tired black leather is cracking bit not showing splits. Not pristine we have used it for tip runs main damage is to the rear seat catch release where the plastic cracked but it still works, There is a load bay protector as well as a luggage cover albeit blue not black.

Aircon needs attention possibly regassing. Climate control doesn’t blow to foot well. Radio functions.

Genuine 850.

Price £1150 ono. Any questions please ask. Located near Ashford Kent.
(Number plate remains with vehicle)

Photos wont upload I tried to get high quality as suggested but they are apparently too large for the VOC site. I will post some tomorrow

Default Volvo 850 for sale

Could anyone suggest why there is, so far, limited interest in my sale? Many thanks

Spend some time cleaning it - especially the interior. A couple of hours could make it look like a completely different car), describe the equipment better (it has some rarer and more desirable options), give some more info on service history and cambelt, fix the indicator (cheap and easy job) and lastly don't make the ad description sound so blasted negative.

As above really. It is a buyers market and sellers have to work hard to attract any interest. My son has just sold his V50 T5 on ebay and had very little interest apart from the clowns offering a third of what he was asking. The car was immaculate and full service history btw so if anyone genuinely wanted that particular model it was a good buy. He sold it after the listing had ended to a chappie that came from Cardiff - son lives in Birmingham - who was seriously interested in a T5.

Two things that would immediately put me off if I was interested in buying something similar to yours is that it has been photographed in the rain/showered with a hose and mention of being used for tip runs. That just smacks of being neglected and trying to hide the paint blemishes.

I agree, I think your photos could be better. Photograph it in the dry and give it a vacuum inside !
