Unlike the previous generation Sensus you will not be able to browse folders and files. As long as your mp3s are id3-tagged (most are - but you may have to reorganize your collection using some tool such as mp3tag: https://www.mp3tag.de/en/) you can search/browse based on artist/album/genre etc. or simply search a particular song you want to play. Once I sorted out id3 tags on my music collection - Sensus actually works like a charm! I like the little details- such as album art being displayed on the screen etc. Voice search works most of the time - depending on your pronunciation, I suppose

The missing folder play option is ridiculous despite Volvo spending so much resources on getting the screen real estate so big. Tagging it with mptag is OK but doesn't work well for me because half if my songs are not in English and getting it to work is Almost impossible.

As someone mentioned, plug it via Android auto or Bluetooth from your phone.

Added bonus! Picked up the car and my old iPad classic does work with my XC60 MY19. The dealer said only 5th generation iPods are compatible so my classic must be 5th gen or better.

The integration of the iPod and the Sensus works well, although the voice activation / recognition of the Sensus leave a lot to be desired.

I just turn the wireless/radio on and have my local TFM Channel on in the background unless I go on a longer journey then I have to sometimes press a little button on the seering wheel and another channel comes on Its amazing. Its magic or sould that be Magic FM. 😊

That sounds very modern, what’s wrong with using a gramophone player?
I have found by putting my air suspension into the comfort mode that I am able to get a good all around sound from the large trumpet on my old gramophone player placed if dead central on the rear seat. Fortunately my new XC60 was spec’d with the 240v socket in the rear just for this reason as on long journeys I cannot be doing with having to stop every 30 minutes or so just to wind it up........

Even better to keep my wife happy on longer journeys she could do the ironing. 🙆
Maybe that is what that 240v sockets for.
