Default Camshaft end cover seal?

V70 2435cc engine.

My V70 fitted with the above engine has an oil leak. I first noticed this when underneath the car...……..I saw oil all around the O/S drive shaft seal, but it wasn't gear-oil, it was engine oil finding it's way down from the top of the gear-box bellhousing.

Looks like the oil's coming from the end of the head.....haven't looked much more into it yet but I'm hoping there's a cover on the end of the head(maybe where the distributer used to live?) which needs resealing??? Hoping it's not from the head gasket! There's quite a bit of oil.

Not knowing these engines much, can anyone tell me if there's a cover on the end of the cam(s)?

Thanks.

Yes, there is. Throwaway item when setting the cams for belt replacement - new ones are available from Volvo.
