Default upper control arm woes

my 144 is in the garage having some suspension bits for the MOT, however one upper arm has gone wrong, basically need the spindle/bar, do any of you fine people know if you can buy this bit separate?

also I can only find new control arms on the likes of Skandix for circa: £150 delivered, any idea's on recon ones or possible alternatives?

Any help will be greatly appreciated!
Cheers

It sound like you just need a top ball joint. You can press the old one out and press a new one in. I keep them in stock as do other suppliers, you don't need a complete arm unless it has rusted badly or been damaged
