Tenalka Junior Member Last Online: Nov 7th, 2022 22:31 Join Date: May 2011 Location: Leeds	Fault code 097 system service required - engine in limp mode Hi I just been reading this thread about fault code 097, and the message engine system service required. I have a 2010 V70 2.0L desire. Not only have I got the message and fault code, my car goes into what I have discovered to be called ‘Limp Mode’. We are currently on holiday in Scotland heading home on Saturday, I’m looking for advice as to what to do, I guess some reassurance that this is all normal and drawing off oil will sort it. I’ve checked my dipstick on it is a touch over max level. I can clear the message and take it out of limp mode by pressing and holding the trip button till I hear a beep, then when I restart the car, everything is fine, unless I take my rpm count over 2500, sometimes it’s just 2000.
