The originals are made by Valeo for Volvo (Volvo branded ones are Valeo)

Yep, they're absolutely perfect
You (we ALL) need to email Volvo customer services as this clearly IS a widespread problem and its simply not good enough |

Volvo dont care response
I had a very disappointing reply from Volvo today...
The retailer have tested the vehicle and other vehicles on site, as well as raised a report to our technical team. It has been confirmed that all other Volvo wiper functions the same and this is how all Volvo standard wiper blades function. You then went on to purchase a set of third party wiper blades and this is not something that the retailer or Volvo would look at refunding or providing any goodwill for THE FACT THAT I HAD TO PURCHASE THEM was because the Volvo ones did not cure the problem!!!.... and I havent used "3rd party" items, they are from Valeo who are O.E. suppliers to Volvo ! I am very disappointed with their response and lack of commitment to investigate this further considering the safety aspect of vision impairment when it is raining.....what next?.... ombudsman ? Attached is a pic of the problem with new rubbers fitted and it's not good enough, I feel their response is appalling given their supposed reputation for safety Last edited by davidwf15; May 2nd, 2023 at 23:14. |

No they're not but my point was that I bought Volvo and then went back to the old Bosch ones that still worked because I was going through a washer bottle every hour to see where I was going.
I agree that it's rubbish, but I just won't buy Volvo ones again. To be honest I know it's annoying, but they will be busy with lots of other customer issues that also have safety aspects involved, and yours is low down the pecking order (in their view). I had a new VW where the emergency braking activated a couple of times for no reason, and fortunately no-one rammed us from behind. I also had a new Jeep that switched itself off in the outside lane of a busy motorway after a gust of headwind under the bonnet. Both were faults that were dangerous, but the dealers shrugged their shoulders at. I applaud you for Keeping trying. Last edited by Ulrikas PA; May 2nd, 2023 at 23:27. |
