Default V50 Rear Bumper

I have a 2008 V50 that needs a replacement part for the rear bumper (wife reversed into a pole). Not sure what the correct name is for this part, but it's the step protector or also seen it called sill protector. Basically the grey ridged plastic trim that protects the bumper step/loading sill

Could someone please point me in the direction of where i could find one and roughly how much it will cost. Also is it clipped to the bumper or screwed ?

Thanks

Hi, I renewed mine as it was badly scratched and it just clips onto the rear bumper but you do have to remove the bumper by undoing the torx screws in the rear wheel arch and where the bootlid shuts and there are a couple underneath (I left these in place and then carefully let the bumper flap down).

As to buying it, give the guys at FRF Motors a try as they are very good. Send an email to Simon he will give you a price for it very quickly including delivery:

frfvolvoparts@gmail.com

Mine is a 2007 V50 (pre-facelift) and here's the quote I had:

Rear Bumper Plastic Trim: [Part No. 30678067]
Retail Price £46.00 / Our Price £38.41

Good luck with your quest!

I also replaced mine when i got the car as it was scratched, I did it without removing the bumper, I put my hand up behind to losen the clips while i pulled it upwards, mine came from main dealer with VOC discount, but I didnt think it was that much, but it was 18 months ago.
