Default V60 Front seat removal

Hi I purchased a V60 at the weekend (2013 D4 R Design) very please so far, just trying to fix a slight niggle the drivers side carpet has a nasty wear mark on it, previous owner must have constantly rested his foot in the same spot, and it's worn through the carpet a bit.

I've managed to find a good condition replacement carpet and I'm going to try and fit it at the weekend.

Just after some advice/tips if anyone has had the front seats out?, is it standard disconnect battery wait 10 mins then remove seats, or is there any special procedure, do I need the radio code etc?

Pretty standard tbh, disconnect the battery, wait 5-10 mins, 4 bolts under the seat. Disconnect the connector sure its an 8 or 10mm socket and remove the seat. Did this a few times, once to replace rhe carpet, and once when i fitted the full leather interior.

Very simple job. Recently did this to clean all the random crumbs from under the chair. Oddly the bolts were not that tight. I made sure I used loctite when re-installing.

Default Too tall for my S80 2001 Volvo...Please help!

My son is 6 feet 5 inches tall and cannot sit in the driver's seat without hitting his head. I'm trying to find a way to give him more head room. The obvious solution seems to be with changing or reupholstering the seat. Can anyone give me any advise? Thanks!

I hadn't thought of a sunroof....thanks. Of course, it would only be a viable solution in dry weather when you didn't need the air conditioning.
