No 240's, but he drives a blue 960 in the movie in addition to coming up with that great tagline. And related - don't foreget about the character Saabs, with the OCD centering on Saab 900's.

Hello. This is not really a tv or film spotting, but in yesterdays paper and outside a cinema, so kind of relevant.
In the "on this day in history" section. Folk queueing up to see Superman at the old ABC cinema in 1977. Right outside the cinema, a 240 estate. A nice capri too. T. |

I saw The Bounty Hunter (save your money, it's not great) at the weekend and there was a tasty red 245 on Hydras in it. Now I really want a set of Hydras...

In the film "Heist" with Gene Hackman, they have a black 780 which oddly enough does not have the Volvo badge in the grill.
In the film "Bad Boys" - Martin Lawrence drives a 240 estate with Will Smith.

There was a blue 240 estate on "ashes to ashes" last night.I think it looked a bit later than the 1983 model it was meant to be

In the film The Lives of Others, the East German official is driven in a 264 with nice curtains in the back.

In the first season of Monk, Monk is driven around in a 200 series estate. I started thinking about what Volvo's i've seen in movies: cartoon Dilbert in an episode Lena drives an 850, in an episode of McGyver a Volvo 164 i think is going downhill without brakes and he climbs out into the engine bay to stop the car, a 780 can be seen a couple of times in See no evil, hear no evil, a V70 is used in the movie Keeping mum, in Con Air a dead body falls onto a Volvo 200...
that's all from the top of my head (haven't seen any 400 series in movies though...) |

I like Monk and have some on my pc. Did a screenshot once when I thought Sharona's Volvo alloy wheels were virgo's. l. They weren't so I kept watching until I saw the rear of it. Sorry. T. |
