Front end bump stop and gaitors for 4-C shocks
Hi,if it ever stops raining long enough I'm going to undertake a fairly major refurb of the front suspension of my '06 XC. I've got or ordered most of the bits but can't seem to find bump stop and gaitors/dust covers specifically for the 4C shocks.
Does anyone know if they the same size as for the standard front shock absorbers? Cheers John |

My gaiters with 200k+ miles came up perfectly after a wash so unless yours are definitely torn, don't assume they'll need replacing.
The Vida parts catalogue will have the full breakdown of parts diagrams and numbers.

I must admit they looked 'grubby' rather than damaged when I took a shock off to do the top mounts recently - I was just thinking for the sake of a few quid more (than the hundreds the bits have so far cost!) it would be worthwhile having everything shiny and new. I'll have another look and see if all they need is just a wash and brush up.
Cheers for the reply. John |

At 3mins 38secs in my video here you can see the before and after on the gaiters.
Decent replacements will add around £50 or more to the bill so if they're damage free and still fit well, I'd leave them. They'll be getting pretty filthy again in no time anyway.
