Default Replacing the 3 heater hoses 144

Hi , I need to replace the 3 hoses at the rear of the engine that go to the heater

I’ve a couple of questions

1. If I disconnect each hose from the engine first am I likely to get much water coming out from the hoses when I disconnect them from the heater inside the car. Do I need loads of towels etc to stop it getting into the carpet.

2. Do I need to prime the heater/ hoses with water in any way to avoid air locks , or will the air just work it’s way out?

Any thoughts / comments appreciated

Default Heater hoses

HI Simon

I have just replaced them on my 164 I used silicone ones it is better to drain whole system then you dont get much water into the car as you look at the hoses do them from bottom up it makes it easier also if you can get silicone you should never have to do them again.
Try this company http://www.classicsiliconehoses.com/ for the hoses.

Hope this helps you can PM me if you need more
Good luck
Malcolm
