Default door mirror indicator repeater

I have noticed some water on the inside of the repeater lens in the door mirror of my recently acquired 2011 v70. Does anyone know how to remove the lens so that I can dry it out and seal it effectively before corrosion sets in?
Thankyou

Adjust the mirror all the way inwards (so you have a lovely view of the side of the car). You should now be able to get your fingers behind the edge of the mirror glass. Apply gentle pressure and you should be able to pop the mirror glass off the adjustable carrier. This now allows you access to the back of the repeater. If you remove the bulb you might then be able to dry out the lamp, and apply any extra sealing needed from inside the mirror housing.

Hi,

Strange, on my S80 you can fully remove the repeater by carefully removing the mirrors plastic cover. Repeater and bulb together should come free.

Likely either the bulb holder may not have been refitted correctly to give the water ingress, or the seam may be cracked/separating?
