Like i said, its got history for having everything changed recently and the car was running fine before.

No-one likes a smart arse do they, i am asking for proper advice and i thought after looking at the history that the engine was ready for a stage1 tune, no need to make me feel worse than i already do is there???

Looks like i am going to have to go through everything methodically before going further.

So, Barkster, since you seem to be the B200ft god, can you add anything to this list that i have missed please.

1. Spark Plugs, Is there a specific brand people recomend and number of points???
2. HT Leads, Again Is there a brand thats better than the rest???
3. Fuel filter, Is a generic one ok or best to go for Volvo.
4. Oil Filter and Oil. I'm thinking Semi Synth but what grade do people recommend, i will be going Mobil 1 as thats what i have always used.
5. Dizzy Cap and rotor arm, Would now be best to change to the side mount and if so where is best to shop???
6.Air filter is done with a Brand New double Cone filter.

I think god should be capiltalised but anyhow. Myself and a few other people have been there and got the t-shirt regarding getting more smiles per gallon out of the redblock. More boost even from a little turbo needs a good spark and the distributor is a bit of a weak point. BPR6ES plugs, oem ht leads or magnecor. Check to see if the front and back cam seals are leaking as oil on the dizzy does make for a weak spark.
Or go wasted spark or fit a 240 intermediate shaft and block mounted distributor. After a stage 0 the common route is 15g/16T turbo, V cam and chips, plus calibrated boost gauge. You can fit other stuff of course, go mad, see what happens. I think my advice is useful. Now I am looking at x3 or x4 the power from mine I'm seeking advice from the people who have already done it. Does that make logical sense?
And always fully synth with a turbo. I like Shell Helix

Cheers, would wasted spark be better than a dizzy??? How difficult is it to convert and is there a guide somewhere???
already checked the cam seals and they looked good but i will change them anyway i think. I'm starting to wonder if it might be worth blowing the engine apart and doing the Head Gasket and maybe even the Piston rings while I'm at it, at least then i will have peace of mind.
I was told by some-one in the past the Fully is a bad idea for older engines, but i am open to advice as i want a reliable engine lol.

I have good experience with BPR7ES plugs (step colder)
+1 on wasted spark, it is easy and then "maintenance-free" (without moving parts) http://forums.turbobricks.com/showthread.php?t=246170
And I also use fully-synth oil (Mobil1 5W50)

Anyone got a link to someone that sells the wasted spark boards???

The coils are easy as i will just use Fiat ones as i can get them silly cheap and already have a spare looms i can rob the wiring from and i think i will price up Gen Volvo Leads against a set of Magnecor as i have Magnecor on my Seicento.

Very few want to help new people on TB, you have to wade through a field of abuse/sarcasm before you get anywhere, but once you're in then it's all gravy.

John V is the man you want to speak to on there, sort of a guru.
