Yeah, since i have tightened up the DV its been about 90% right, it has the odd stall but i am living with it for now. i think putting the MAF sensor between the DV and throttle body will solve it totally or i might look into if its possible to convert to a MAP sensor instead so then it wont matter. Fear that in order to do that i will have to go stand alone engine management like MegaSquirt.

I can't run the turbo I want to without ditching the maf. I will then use megasquirt, with a map sensor , dump valve and twin external wastegates. I'm also going to put a hole n the wing to allow easier airflow to the filter.

So there is no way to convert the stock ECU/EZK to accept MAP input instead of MAF???

Oh well looks like i might have to price up Megasquirt and do that route instead of the Wasted spark board conversion i was about to buy.

Hmmm this is starting to get expensive but there again i only paid 350 for the car and its already twice the car of my last car which i paid over a grand for. 2003 Zafira 1.6 lmao i know, let the jokes role lol.

oh well, list not keep track of the bill, lets just spend and make it better.

The car has a hissy fit without the maf connected. Megasquirt definitely the way forward.

I've used my trusty Bosch holesaw selection to make a couple on the inner fender around the existing air feed whole that the OEM airbox can feed from. I also plan to open it up a bit nore. :-D

Well incase any-one was curious, it had good days and bad days where it would and wouldnt idle with the DV so i have given up and reverted back to standard, only thing i left on was the Digital Boost Gauge. didnt even leave the MBC on it lol.

Funny thing, its back to running sweet as a Nut and doesnt even hesitate any-more.

Moral of the story, Listen to thous wiser!!!

Why twin? A properly specced, well placed single will be more than up to the job.

With a gt38 or 42 , which I'll be running it's easy to get boost creep with a high flowing head, twin 50mm is the way forward.Bloke had issues with one wastegate, can't escape quick enough. This is what I've read anyway!
