S60 SE D5 Auto D5244T4 Euro 4 Reg: 24 01 2007 Light Blue
Owned for 3 years myself bought of a friend who had it service and log book up to 214,000 miles, then I took it over and looked after the servicing & repairs.
IMG_1541.jpg IMG_1543.jpg IMG_1547.jpg IMG_1550.jpg IMG_1556.jpg IMG_1553.jpg Car been well looked after. After doing all the oil changes using correct oil at all times. Had a slight tapping noise from the top. This annoyed me somewhat so I replaced all cams followers along with a complete new swirl flap assembly. Over time new radiator fitted, all engine mounts, cam belt kit and auxiliary tensioner belts been replaced. I’m not into taking short cuts while carrying out repairs. New shoes for handbrake. Auto box TF 80SC been drained and refilled 4 times (oil was clean and the gearbox always runs lovely & smooth. Bodywork in very good condition with the odd little chip here and there, well she is 11 years old and done mostly motorway driving. The only fault I had a year ago that showed on vida dice was the swirl arm had broken so this then showed service light on dashboard. Engine does not use any oil and no oil/water leaks around engine and underneath. Everything inside & outside is in full working order. Mot due end of September, I may even get another year MOT something not sure about doing at the moment. She has covered 245,000 miles and still more life left in her. We may be thinking of selling the car as we have upgraded to a newer model and we have a XC70. This allows us to tow our new caravan comfortably and more boot space etc. Reasonable not silly offers will be looked into. Feel free to pm me in private or in the forum. What sort of price do you lovely forum members think she is worth? Not wanting to give it away otherwise may as well use her as a 2nd car. She is far too good to sell for parts and strap but would benefit a new owner who will cherish this car like we have done. Thank you for looking and look forward to hearing from you. Passed MOT
Just an update, have the car MOT and it passed, only had 4 advisories which I was a wear off as I called into the MOT centre a couple of days before asking do the tyres need replacing they said you still have a few thousand miles left on them.
Tyre worn to legal limit/worn on edge Nearside Front Tyre worn to legal limit/worn on edge Offside Front Tyre worn close to legal limit/worn on edge Nearside Rear Outer. Brake disc worn, pitted or scored, but not seriously weakened nearside Rear (Corroded) Little jobs to complete the above. If anyone able to say what she near enough worth if I decide to sell her on? |

Hi, I have got a 56-plate S60 D5 185bhp with the speed auto box. I paid £1650 for mine with 104k miles on it.
With yours I would say it was worth about £1200-£1500? |

Two sold at a local auction recently, can't remember the exact figures but one was was over 200000 and one marginally under. Pretty sure they were both 56 plates. IIRC neither made £1000. Tyres on both were chinese.
Similar V70 SE(?) with 129000 on fsh with virtually new dunlops sold for 2775 say £3k with auction fees. All 3 had long MOTs. I only looked at the V70 but I thought that price was OTT, I stopped bidding at 1950. I'm going back tomorrow night, if there are any more on the block I'll see what they go for, at present there's only a 63 reg xc90 d5 with 59000 on but quite often there are late entries.

I did with their price I added another 20% on top as their price as they always low to start with, then keep sending emails upping the price as I haven't made an appointment lol.
With the mileage price came out at around £400 ish, too good for that price so may as well keep it for now and swap between two cars. |
