BSR looks like it involves either sending your ECU in or a very long round trip to get decoded
Seems that the sensible option is Rica using the iSoftloader.
Anyone think differently for someone with a Volvo that is out of warranty and lives too far from BSR?
Thanks
The gearbox optimisation only applies to cars with the 4 cylinder VEA engines & 8 spd automatic.
The 5 cylinder engines just get the engine remapped and the gearbox standard.

When towing trailers at 1500-2000 kg, there's definitely a difference between a Polestar D5 and one without.
The D5 Polestar (230 hp) also feels more agile without trailer behind, compared to the D4 (181 hp) we also have.

But a 230 hp D5 doesn't make the XC70 any racing car. My previous 854 Turbo was much more into that. 400 kg less curb weight made a big difference. Floor the XC70 and not much happens, it seems. Keep it there for a little while, and still nothing has happened. You are now doing 180 km/h, and increasing, but still nothing feels like it has happened.

My MY2009 XC90 D5 EURO4 diesel is now on 130000 km and coming up to 10 years old on a Heico tune, with no problems whatsoever except for the expected ECU checksum error due to different parameters in the ECU

Around 10% power increase

But back in 2009 the tune cost 3000 CHF, which is 2300 GBP, but included full homologation compliance, certification, entry into vehicle register, independent power and noise testing, and a lovely label in the engine bay.
