Default MOT Success

I meant to post about this a week or so ago, but my 940 (still 116,209 miles young!) passed its MOT with a couple of advisories:

Monitor and repair if necessary (advisories):
Central Exhaust has a minor leak of exhaust gases (6.1.2 (a))
Central Exhaust silencer slightly loose pipe cracked (8.1.1 (b) (i))

I was advised that the exhaust was not in need of immediate repair but I might repair it sooner rather than later. Apparently the leak is where the centre exhaust pipe goes into the catalytic converter.

Another problem that was fixed was the pesky broken brake light which turned out to be caused by melted plastic on the light assembly. Funnily enough I found a recent YouTube video about it:

Has anyone had experience of this problem before?

Congrats on the MoT pass!

Only another 90k or so and you'll have caught up with my mileage (currently 222500 as of yesterday) so i'm very nearly at the moon! Reckon another 4 years should do it!

Then i'll finally get to met The Clangers! Only 50 years since i first saw them on tv as well!
