talking of rear lights, heres a giggle that's recently amused me. I took my car to my local dealer for an engine service and inspection. simply because they could do it cheaper than I could buy the oil for...anyway, I digress... in the report I was given with the invoice, a note was made that the n/s/r foglamp was not working, but they had removed the bulb, cleaned and fixed.....I noted later that it was not working again, so thought perhaps the bulb had blown. so fiddled fitting a new bulb to find it still didn't work. so being as the lock tab that holds the electrical connector is hidden by metal panel, decided to remove the complete lamp [bottom lamp--aarrgghh]. so on removal and bit of double checking, it appears that for "r/h/d cars, the nearside fog is not physically linked by the electrical board on the back of the lamp. yep has a power supply to the connector, yep has the twin filament bulb, yep the sidelamp is linked and wired up, but no fog !..........lets just say a bit of careful soldering has not sorted this out without having to purchase a replacement lamp..........but would still love to know how their techy managed to get it working after cleaning the bulb, ha ha.
