So I just ordered my XC60 Edition.
Just wondering if I will need one of these?
Haven't actually got the car yet but don't want to pay £10 extra if I can avoid it.

It seems like You get a Vodafone Sim on delivery, which lasts a year with 100Gb.

camelcamelcamel.com is the amazon price tracking website so you can see the offer / real prices on amazon - according to them the cheapest it has been is £27. looks like it drops significantly during black Friday (i.e. next week) so possible to get it cheaper based on historical prices.

I'm still not sure of the point of this over pairing your mobile and sharing the data, mine works great for Spotify, RTTI, OTA update and not had to part with more money?

I'm with you on this. We just use our mobiles too, works seamlessly. I do however only have the 3G modem in my MY17 XC90, not the 4G wich I think started going in around September 2017.

If I had the 4G modem, I might be tempted to give a SIM a try, simpply to see if the reception is bettier on the car modem.
