And the listing is still very much alive. It's a bit like waiting for a bus "wait all day for one and three turn up all at the same time. Regards Brian. |

Ok as I really want one of these! How about some more info?
I believe I heard that they are V6 engines? And that the early engines can be a bit troublesome. Is it a B280?I seem to remember that some early engines had camshaft problems due to poor oilways? Anyone care to guess which gearbox they have. The lever looks like that on the AW70/71? Also the interior shot shows aircon controls,So I would think all three would also have it as standard? Any info would be very nice. Many Thanks Brian. Oh and in my ebay they DO show in the sellers other items? 8 Vehicles all told. |

Best of luck if you do decide to bid on one Brian. It would make a great project I'm sure. I think the engine would be B27 and BW55 autobox, but someone should check that. |

I want one of these so much!!!!!
Yeah, I noticed the TE from the p1800es ad. I saw that he was selling a few cars in his garage, but not the TE. I asked him and he said that its for sale as well. 1 day left (I have no idea why the ad/s were not visable yesterday).
How much do you think it would cost to ship one of them 'downunder'? Last edited by s7s7s7s7s7s7s; Sep 26th, 2011 at 00:47. |

How much longer than a regular 200 series are they?

Hi Dave I don't know how much longer they are from a standard car but my 940 Limo is only 800mm longer than a standard saloon.
Considering this gives you one extra door and one extra set of seats and legroom as well on mine.I should think the 264 is similare. The 264 seems to have a longer rear door and only smaller fold up seats.Mine has full size middle seats. My turning circle is 12.7M and the standard model is 9.8M. I'm sure they will take an awful lot of recommisioning. They have been sat for about ieght years. So most seals and rubber parts will probably need changing. The V6 is known to be a pain and regulare oil changes are needed more so if you don't want the camshaft siezing.Don't even mention fuel economy with the extra wieght to pull although mine is suprisingly good but has the B230FB and auto box. Not something for the fient hearted. Regards Brian. |

Great find!!!
These are B27E! Definitively! The B28 came late'80/1981 with the "new" front. It's a Bertone assembling as well: here you can read a bit over the TE's history: http://www.volvobertone.com/ Here we have a car - rental service, where you can rent one for marriage (driving to church etc.) or company events / exhibitions... It's a kind of "eastern - Germany - nostalgy" (Erich Honecker's car...)
