Android Auto/Apple Car Play Retrofit
I'm guessing this has been asked umpteen times but there's a lot of yes/no from years ago so I'll ask again.
I picked up my '19 S90 yesterday, on the advertisement it stated that it was fitted, however this doesn't appear to be the case as it only has the one USB port in the center console - so has any one had it retro fitted? If so, who with, where and how much? Thank you! |

Give your VIN to the Volvo dealer (who sold it?) and they can tell you what the vehicle is equipped with

You can apparently get it even on the single USB sockets too, if it's not in your apps menu, then the car definitely doesn't have it.
It's dead easy for a dealer to do, though if the car was advertised as having it and it doesn't have it, I'd kick up a fuss and have them put it on FOC.

I think if installed from new you got 2 USB sockets, then if as an accessory you had to manage with just the one. But, for the last year or two the accessory fitment included adding the additional USB socket.

I bought a 2018 V90 last week. It didn’t have smartphone integration but I asked the dealer to throw it in as part of the deal, which they did. The dealer-fitted upgrade (which would ordinarily be £300) included the software and the double USB socket panel, including the white border to signify which socket is connected to the infotainment system.
I was surprised to get the two USB ports as so many posts say that the dealer-fitted option doesn’t include this, but it seems mine does. It is indistinguishable from the factory-fitted upgrade. I’m sure your dealer will be able to tell you what their upgrade includes but I’d be surprised if they aren’t able to offer the whole package. |

I had it put on my previous V90 by the dealer, single USB socket was also upgraded to a double with the white surround. Interestingly my '21 V60 had the double socket with white band, but CarPlay / Android Auto wasn't installed. Brand new car, still an option but managed to wangle it out of the dealer for free as not having it was a bit of a deal breaker.

Mine's another one that didn't have it from the factory (just the single USB port and no icons on the screen) but it was retrofitted by the dealer. New panel with two ports and the software upgrade / reconfiguration.
That was on an "early 2019" (19 plate) and retrofitted in August 2019. |
